Description We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s team in La Jolla, CA. Our client is a dynamic organization with a strong focus on fostering a positive workplace culture and delivering excellent services. Located in the heart of La Jolla, this company offers a collaborative and inclusive environment where employees are empowered to excel in their roles.Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and support hiring processes, including posting job openings, sourcing candidates, and managing interview schedules.

Ensure smooth onboarding by conducting orientations and assisting new hires in acclimating to the organization.

Serve as a resource for employees, addressing concerns, providing guidance, and mediating conflict as needed.

Promote a positive and inclusive work environment consistent with the company’s values.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws (such as FMLA, FLSA, and California labor laws).

Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to meet legal and organizational requirements.

Assist in developing and maintaining performance management systems, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and coaching.

Advise managers on best practices for performance improvement and recognition.

Support benefit-related processes, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and vendor communication.

Assist employees in navigating the benefits offered by the company.

Maintain accurate records of employee data, benefits, and other HR metrics, using HRIS or similar software.

Prepare reports to help leadership make informed, data-driven decisions.

Identify staff development needs and recommend training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.

Assist in organizing team-building events or initiatives to enhance employee engagement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).

3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a diverse and fast-paced work environment.

Working knowledge of California employment laws is highly preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Proficiency with HRIS software, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications are desirable but not required.
