Job Description

OUR SERVICE ADVISOR: IS THE FIRST POINT OF CONTACT WITH OUR CLIENTS AND THEIR VEHICLES:Makes appointments, greets clients, checks vehicles in, researches and informs clients of manufacturer service recommendations and service bulletins, builds long term relationships. IS THE LIAISON BETWEEN THE CLIENTS AND THE TECHNICIANS:Understands and documents clients’ service requests and concerns, creates clear service orders for technicians, explains findings and results to clients, offers service and repair options to clients, provides cost estimates, and obtains client approvals. MANAGES THE SERVICE PROCESS:Prepares service order for technicians, orders parts, follows up on progress and keeps clients informed, reviews completed service orders to ensure all client concerns have been addressed. COMPLETES THE VISIT WITH THE CLIENTS:Arranges for pickup of vehicles and payment for services, reviews service and answers any questions, reviews any postponed maintenance or repairs and offers future appointments/reminders, conducts follow up.

Qualifications

Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a “people person") Understanding of customer service principles and practices, and strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction results Basic computer software and internet proficiency; Efficient keyboarding skills Experience with shop management software; specifically Winworks Autoshop and Autovitals SmartFlow is a plus Knowledge of the workings of a vehicle to be able to understand Client concerns, and explain technician’s findings and needed repairs and maintenance Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, both listening and speaking, and the ability to communicate equally well with technicians, Clients, and management Ability to work well with others in a team environment Ability to resolve problems Valid, unrestricted in-state driver’s license with clean driving record Enthusiastic about ongoing training, skills improvement, and keeping updated on the industry
