Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?The Edison Security Operations Center (ESOC) is a 24/7 operations center tasked with monitoring security systems throughout the SCE territory. The ESOC receives and responds to thousands of alarms and handles hundreds of phone calls daily. Security Specialists assigned to the ESOC are expected to:

Be first line support on a multitude of security related incidents

Serve and partner with key business units throughout SCE

Provide oversight and make key decisions for security operations

Provide detailed real-time reporting on incidents

Provide world-class customer service to stakeholders

Responsibilities

Ensure that facilities and related security equipment meets applicable compliance requirements. Assists the compliance advisors with maintaining compliance standards related to physical security

Documents systems support processes as well as physical security perimeters with access control points, camera views in order to meet regulations and internal specifications

Troubleshoots, configures and implements physical security perimeters in the access control, video management, radar, license plate reader system, and burglar alarm system

Provides support to ensure consistent standards relative to the preparation and training of emergency evacuation and crisis teams

Identifies vulnerabilities by conducting assessments

Ensures the protection of all the employees, vendors and visitors, clients and corporate assets

Conducts ongoing functionality testing of technical security systems to ensure proper coverage and operation

Assists in the development of security policies and procedures for emergency events that may take place

Produces vulnerability reports and security plans for applicable facilities

A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

Three or more years of experience with Corporate Security, law enforcement, or military security.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, criminal justice, or a related field

Strong interpersonal communication, writing, and presentation skills

3 or more years of experience working in a security operations center (SOC)

ASIS CPP or PSP certification

PMP certification

This position’s work mode is on-site . The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

The primary work location for this position is Irwindale, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at an alternate work location.

Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

This position works a rotating schedule, rotating between day, swing, and night shifts.

Relocation does not apply to this position.
