Job DescriptionJoin the Clean Energy RevolutionBecome an Associate Specialist within the Demand Response (DR) Program Operations Support team. You’ll be part of a team which delivers customer focused programs that create grid reliability, help customers save energy, and help lower their energy bills. These programs support SCE’s ability to mitigate high energy prices, respond to grid emergencies, and reduce the long-term demand for new power generation resources.SCE’s DR programs provide customers with the option to receive incentives in exchange for agreeing to reduce their energy demand upon request by SCE. In this role, you will provide support for program implementation activities, processing enrollments, conduct analytics reporting, and perform quality control activities to ensure compliance with program policies.As an Associate Specialist , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Provide operational support to the DR Help Desks that service customers, the Customer Engagement Division, and third party vendors on the Base Interruptible Program (BIP), Agricultural and Pumping Interruptible Program (API), Critical Peak Pricing (CPP), Optional Binding Mandatory Curtailment (OBMC), Real-Time Pricing (RTP), Summer Discount Plan (SDP), and Smart Energy Program (SEP), Automated Demand Response Incentives (Auto-DR), the Emergency Load Reduction Program (ELRP), and any new program pilots.

Understand program rules and tariffs.

Evaluates and resolves customer inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensures that appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the customer, Company, and/or California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in compliance with policies, procedures, tariff rules and rates.

Produce a high volume of data entry tasks with a high degree of detail and accuracy.

Support Program Advisors managing program changes and improvements, both technical and non-technical.

Maintain desktop procedures and program manuals.

Identify process improvements and work with appropriate partners to implement.

The essentials

Experience resolving customer issues by researching and analyzing information, policies and offering services and products.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The preferred

Knowledge of Demand Response programs.

Experience using SAP and Business Objects.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills both internally and external via interoffice chats, email, and phone.

Experience showing leadership, initiative, and judgment to solve problems and to work collaboratively to achieve consensus.

Experience prioritizing, planning, organizing, and coordinating high volume work while maintaining high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting assigned deadlines.

You should know

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
