You will have the chance to develop and demonstrate your technical skills, as well as interact firsthand with our patient-focused culture.What you'll need (Required):

Current enrollment as a student at an accredited university for the duration of the Internship project with a graduation date of December 2024 or later. Candidates entering their 2nd (Sophomore), or 3rd (Junior) year is preferred.

Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent field of study.

Ability to work full-time for the duration of the Internship (Summer 2024 - December 2024)

Good scholastic standing (3.0+ cumulative GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 Scale)

Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.

What else we look for (Preferred):

Sophomore or Junior standing, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent field of study.

Interest in pursuing healthcare and/or medical device industry experience

Must have a strong work ethic, excellent organization skills, demonstrated learning agility, and critical thinking skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments based on input from manager.

Basic understanding of Technical Languages: C, Python, ect.

Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering methodologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Co-Op will be working on front end development activities like mobile app development, web development etc including the design, planning, coding, and documentation of the software. This Co-Op will be developing software that is meant to be companion software for our Edwards implantable devices. Co-Op will be participating in projects to develop a potential class 3 medical device or MDDS (Medical Device Data Systems).The Co-Op will be responsible for the following day to day activities:

Develop and code the software solution following Industry Best practices for code management and quality.

Test and integrate a solution component or the entire solution.

Document the work and share them with an Edwards Engineer for review.

Knowledge Transfer the solution component to an Edwards Engineer for continued support.
