This role will involve a mix of manual testing and automated front-end testing, primarily using TypeScript for front-end tests and Python for backend validation. The position will support our efforts to deliver seamless and robust software solutions deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Conduct manual testing of cloud-based applications to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications.
Develop and execute automated front-end tests using TypeScript to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Collaborate with developers to understand application requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
Work closely with the development team to identify, document, and track defects and issues.
Assist in the development of test automation frameworks and maintain existing automation scripts.
Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to automate testing workflows.
Support application deployment on GCP and help troubleshoot testing-related issues in the cloud environment.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on cloud-based applications.
Experience with manual testing practices and strategies.
Proficiency in TypeScript for front-end testing and Python for backend validation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with version control systems, such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools to integrate testing processes.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cypress, Jest, and Playwright for front-end testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
Experience with performance and load testing of cloud applications.
Knowledge of integration testing and microservices architecture.
