Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Yardman with forklift experience to help manage our yard operations efficiently. This position requires someone who can load, unload, and move vehicles using a forklift, organize inventory racks, strip cars for parts and scrap, and maintain a well-structured workflow. The ideal candidate should be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move vehicles and heavy parts
- Organize and maintain yard inventory, keeping racks stocked and accessible
- Strip vehicles of parts and remove scrap materials as needed
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by disposing of waste properly
- Manage multiple workflows efficiently to keep the yard running smoothly
- Work closely with dismantlers and sales staff to ensure parts are readily available
- Follow all safety regulations when handling vehicles and equipment
Requirements:
- Forklift experience is required(certification preferred)
- Knowledge of auto dismantling and scrap removal
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and materials
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience in an auto dismantling yard or scrapyard is a plus
