This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of construction equipment and diesel and gas-powered vehicles within our fleet. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in diesel engine mechanics, a proactive approach to equipment reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Fleet Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and timely repairs on construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid-steers, and skip loaders.

Vehicle Repairs: Maintain and repair diesel and gas-powered vehicles to ensure fleet reliability.

Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals.

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs for all equipment and vehicles.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, creating a safe working environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with site managers and supervisors to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance effectively.

The ideal candidate should possess:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, ideally with construction equipment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and using diagnostic tools.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with an ability to develop efficient repair solutions.

Reading Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

Licensing: A valid driver's license is required - CDL is preferred but not mandatory.
