Parent/Student/Staff Support Assistant

Essential Duties: Please Note: This is NOT a remote position.

Provide assistance and support to parents, students, and staff members as needed.

Address inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a positive support experience.

Inventory of Tech Supplies:

Maintain a detailed inventory of all technology supplies.

Regularly update records to track stock levels and reorder as necessary.

Email Management:

Create and manage student and staff email accounts.

Monitor and update email groups for efficient communication.

License Monitoring:

Monitor licenses for all platforms and software applications.

Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and renewals.

Platform Administration:

Add students to various platforms, including Acellus, STAR, Exact Path TK-8, MyOn, etc.

Provide support for platform-related issues and user access.

Chromebook Management:

Handle Chromebook rentals, distribution, and returns.

Prepare Chromebooks for student use, ensuring functionality and security.

CAASPP Preparation:

Assist in preparing for CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) assessments.

Ensure the availability of necessary resources, including the secure browser for BUZZ.

Technology Integration:

Support the integration of technology tools for educational purposes.

Collaborate with educators to enhance the use of technology in the teaching and learning process.

Training and Onboarding:

Conduct training sessions for students and staff on various platforms and tools.

Facilitate onboarding processes for new users.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all processes and procedures.

Create guides and resources for users to enhance self-service capabilities

Other Duties as Assigned:

Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or department head.

Flexibly respond to evolving needs and contribute to various projects to support the overall objectives of the educational technology department.

Collaborate with team members to address unforeseen challenges and assist in achieving departmental goals.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and educational trends to provide proactive support and suggestions for improvement.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of job performance.

Educational Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline Preferred but not required.

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar educational technology support role is desirable.

Familiarity with various educational platforms and tools, including Acellus, STAR, Exact Path TK-8, MyOn, and others.

Experience in managing and maintaining an inventory of tech supplies.

Proficiency in email management and creating email accounts for students and staff.

Knowledge of licensing agreements and experience in monitoring and renewing licenses.

Familiarity with Chromebook management, including distribution, returns, and preparation.

Experience in supporting educational assessments like CAASPP and ensuring secure browser usage.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in monitoring and updating various platforms.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective support to parents, students, and staff.

Training and onboarding experience, with the ability to conduct sessions for users.

Additional Qualifications:

Certifications in relevant technologies or educational technology support may be advantageous.

Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to educational technology in the respective region preferred but not mandatory.
