Aerospace manufacturing company seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Inspector who will be performing mechanical inspections in aerospace machine shop environment. Dimensional and visual inspection of machined and fabricated parts for conformance to drawings and other requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
-Operation of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), including development and maintenance of programs, set up and execution.
-Create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the CMM, both interactively and off-line.
-Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
-Conduct CMM inspections of miscellaneous parts, gages and tooling as required.
-Manufacturing and Engineering personnel in regard to part conformance and process capability.
-Assist in training other employees in operation of CMM.
-Perform the duties of a final layout inspector as required.
REQUIREMENTS ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
-Experience and Portable CMM Faro Arm, Creaform and Verisurf Experience/Laser Tracker A MUST.
-Knowledge of AS9100 certified quality systems. Ability to complete AS9100 First Article Inspections and reports.
-Ability to use basic machine shop tools, caliper, micrometer, height gage Experience and competence with MS Windows based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
-Fluent in English, both written and spoken
-Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform follow-up assignments as needed.
High School diploma or GED required. Experience: Minimum 3 years.
