Front Desk Security Concierge

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm weekends and holidays off.

Position Summary

As a Security Concierge you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises and personnel. Your responsibilities will encompass various facets of security operations, including access control, surveillance and monitoring, emergency response, security patrols, customer service, and additional duties as required. Your tasks will range from registering and verifying visitors' identification to conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance cameras, and responding to alarms. Additionally, you will provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees, enforcing security policies, and adhering to all company procedures. Your role will involve collaboration with various departments and teams to uphold security and service standards. Exceptional communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle physical demands are essential for success in this role. This position may also entail on-call availability, nonstandard hours, weekend shifts.

Essential Job Functions

Access Control

Visitor Management: Register, screen, and verify visitors' identification, and issue visitor passes.

Employee Access: Monitor and control employee entry by validating badges and identification.

Vendor Screening: Verify and escort contractors or delivery personnel as needed.

2. Surveillance and Monitoring

VMS Monitoring: Monitor surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity and respond accordingly.

3. Emergency Response

Evacuation Protocol: Assist with building evacuation during emergencies.

First Aid: Provide first aid or summon medical assistance in case of injuries.

4. Security Patrols

Building Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of building floors, parking lots, and surrounding areas.

Safety Checks: Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secured.

5. Customer Service

Reception Duties: Greet and assist visitors, answer inquiries, and direct people to their destinations.

Information Desk: Provide information about building amenities and nearby locations.

Support Services: Assist employees with service requests, such as booking conference rooms or providing building access.

6. Incident Management

Incident Reporting: Write detailed reports of security breaches, emergencies, or any unusual activities.

Investigation Support: Provide information and assistance to investigations or law enforcement when necessary.

7. Building Operations Support

Access Cards: Issue and deactivate employee access cards.

Lost and Found: Maintain and manage the building's lost and found items.

8. Policy Enforcement

Security Policies: Enforce security and access control policies for staff and visitors.

Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

9. Additional Duties

Special Events: Provide extra security and concierge services during building events.

Surveys and Feedback: Collect feedback from visitors and staff to improve service quality.

Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information and security controls.

Monthly reporting: Run monthly report of all visitors that have accessed the corporate office.

Education/Years of Experience/Certificates

High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree in business admin, criminal justice, emergency management preferred.

1-3 years of previous experience in the security related field.

First aid/bleed control/AED certified within the 6 months of employment.

Additional skills

Intermediate computer skills, including MS office suite, and ability to learn and navigate systems used.

Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.

Maybe required to be on-call for security or emergency related issue after hours.

Maybe required to work nonstandard hours and weekends.

Maybe required to drive own vehicle to credit union locations, and offsites.

The physical demands listed are a must be met by a team member to successfully preform the job.

Must be able to lift 30lbs.

30% of the job will require keyboard and mouse usage.

50% of the job will require standing, walking around facility, sitting.

20% of the job will require pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below shoulder height.
