Our company is hiring a Field Service Technician to join our company and contribute to the company’s rapid growth across Southern California.
This position’s primary responsibility at the beginning will be preventative maintenance on cooling towers and reverse osmosis systems. However, the goal for this new position is for you to be trained on installing, repairing, and maintaining water systems while responding to emergencies in the field for our large industrial accounts in the Southern California area.
Qualified individuals are required to recommend and apply basic water treatment applications and solutions, as well as communicate program results to account managers and customers. It is also expected in this role that you always offer professional and high-quality customer and technical services to customers. Further, you need to have familiarity with performing basic water testing, taking measurements, documenting results through service reports and sharing quantitative date with customers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
· Regularly perform water analysis and engage in advanced problem-solving to apply the appropriate chemical solutions and monitor effects form additional treatment
· Focus on performing required services, as trained on
· Consistently calibrate controllers and perform repairs that restore chemical feeds
· Monitor product feed rates and their impact on the water sample and make necessary adjustments to treatment program
· Enter results and communicate results utilizing service reports and iPhone
· Assist in water-related system installations
· Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition
· Other duties as assigned by managers

Physical Demands

· Required to walk long distances, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk, hear and smell
· Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects
· Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and sometimes required to maneuver chemical drums weighing 50-500 pounds
· Routinely lift 50+ pound chemical pails/carry 50+ pound pails 100+ feet up flights of stair cases
· Occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods of time
· Required to drive both short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
· Ability to work in extremely cold and hot environments outside

Working Conditions and Environment
· Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when is needed. This may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe boots, gloves, hard hats and face shields

Education and Experience
· High School Diploma (Preferred)
· Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
· Water Treatment Experience: 1-5 years (Preferred)
