This position does not require experience; however, we prefer a back ground in construction or a person who is mechanically inclined.
Barr Door, Inc. is a 24/7 Full service door & dock equipment company specializing in repair, service, testing & installation of all commercial, industrial doors, hardware & loading dock equipment that has been around since 1973.
Abilities/Skill Requirements:
A minimum of two years of working in the door industry is required for a foreman position (not helper) .
Bi-lingual is a plus but not required.
Must have the following abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to frequently lift 50-100 lbs. and stand for long periods of time and squat when necessary.
Ability to write service reports and communicate verbally with customers as well as front office.
Ability to calculate figures and read a tape measure.
Must be willing to work 40 hours plus and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Must have a Valid Drivers license & good driving record (NO DUI'S).
Must be able to pass a drug and background test
Must have verifiable previous door company references (foreman position)
Forman are required to have their own hand tools
