Dog rescue needs 1-2 hard working, productive dog lovers Our dogs are all large breeds. Initial requirement is to learn to care for dogs and their needs and habitats. Our dogs are loved, well fed, kept comfortable and clean and are provided daily walks. We are hiring for an entry level kennel attendant!
We are a 501(c)(3) certified non-profit Akita rescue whose primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these deserving dogs. Our dog handlers primary goal would be to care for and socialize our dogs while also taking care of the grounds.

Hours: Part-Time 3 days per week 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour of breaks broken up however you choose)
Weekends are required.
Duties include:
Cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and play yards
Basic cleaning of toys blankets and dishes
Facilities Maintenance
Landscaping / Clearing debris
Minor repairs to facilities fencing and buildings
Learning about dogs and building relationships with them to advance to dog handling
Job Requirements:
It is physical work and requires strength, willingness to work outside in all kinds of weather, the ability to stand, walk and be on your feet most of the day Lifting 40+ lbs of dog food. You must be able to operate and maintain basic yard equipment such as a weed whacker and lawnmower.
You must be dependable and show up when scheduled. The dogs still need to be taken care of regardless of other issues you may have going and reliability is is very important. This job doesn't require a lot of interaction with other people, just be reliable and comfortable around big dogs. You can mostly complete tasks on your own once you understand what needs to be done, and are dedicated to our cause.
