RADFALL DCM SUMMARY:
Radfall DCM is a small Los Angeles County based general building and engineering contractor. The company specializes in ground-up commercial/retail construction and in conjunction with its sister company, Radfall Engineering, civil construction (slope repair, utilizes, etc.) Projects are typically located in the lower 10 counties of California. Radfall DCM is focused on quality and intelligent growth.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Superintendent (Retail Projects) is fully responsible for the entire project site. The superintendent is Builder. The superintendent is a leader, responsible for successfully completing his responsibilities as identified below as well as ensuring that all members of the onsite project team are provided with the information, access, and support necessary to successfully execute their contractual obligations. The superintendent, with support from the project management team, is responsible for ALL site activities and for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and of satisfactory quality. The superintendent must be relentless in his commitment to project success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor work to ensure quality control standards are met at all stages of the project.
Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations.
Travel between job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of multiple projects.
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and inspectors in coordination with Project Manager(s).
Communicate with project team regarding RFI’s and submittals.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work.
Coordinate required inspections, observations, and documentation with local jurisdictions.
Identify and issue subcontractor non-compliance/non-conformance issues related to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
Identify conflicts/lags in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
Walk and photo document project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Perform job progress and completion punch list observation and tracking activities.
Work daily and closely with Project Manager(s).
Identify cost savings and value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
Complete close out process with as built drawings, punch lists, final inspections, and sign offs.
Conduct safety site meetings and proactively enforce safety practices to minimize incidents.
Conduct weekly Subcontractor meetings and reviews 3-week short interval schedule and work sequencing/coordination.
Confer with Project Manager(s) and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
Obtain and monitor all permits, building certificates and City inspections (must become familiar with all applicable local building enforcement procedures) in accordance with Company SOP.
Confer with General Superintendent, Project Manager(s), engineering personnel, inspectors, and vendors to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3+ years of experience supervising all phases of ground-up retail construction on projects valued at $1M+
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess valid/active driver’s license and reliable pickup truck
Competency with Microsoft Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Procore or similar construction project management software
Experience with Bluebeam
OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR
Bilingual – English/Spanish (English fluency in speaking/reading/writing is required)
