Glen Eden is Southern California’s premier family oriented nudist resort and RV Park providing nude recreation to members and guests from all over the world.
We are a local, private community located in South Corona in search of a passionate cook to join our team. We are open Wednesday - Sunday, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Looking for an experienced cook for extremely fast paced cafe. Must have 3 years experience as line cook. Line Cook/Prep Cook Qualifications:
Required license or certification: Current Riverside County Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certificate.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
MUST be comfortable working in an environment where guests and members may be NUDE. Staff is clothed.
Line Cook/Prep Cook Responsibilities and Duties:
Exceed members and guests expectations.
Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes to prepare soups, salads, sauces and gravies, entrees, desserts, and snacks.
Bakes, roasts, broils, grills, steams, fries, sautés, and seasons meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
Washes, peels, cuts, dices, trims, shreds, and otherwise prepares vegetables and fruits for use.
Bakes breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, and pastries according to recipes or instructions.
Adjusts thermostatic controls to regulate the temperature of ovens, broils, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
Observes and tests the integrity of food being cooked by tasting, smelling, and checking that it is properly cooked.
Portions food on serving plates, bowls, and platters, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings.
Communications to be accurate and timely, through written or verbal means.
Observe all Department rules, regulations, and dress code.
Receives, checks, and stores food service deliveries.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, equipment, food contact surfaces, and kitchen area.
Operates dishwasher and hand washes, pots, and pans, as necessary.
Report any issues to the Manager as soon as possible. Including any employee issues that may happen.
Food Production - Follow all meal plans/weekly calendar.
Preparation of food may include soups, entrees, sauces, cutting meat and fish, and preparing daily specials
Proper storage of perishable product.
Responsible for controlling food and supply waste.
Equipment Knowledge- Maintain the care and cleanliness of all mechanical equipment. Provide a safe work environment through proper use of the equipment and personal tools. Monitor equipment daily and report problems to the Manager. Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
6-8 hour shift
