All candidates must have minimum of 6 months experience in apartment leasing and a minimum of one year customer Service and sales.

An Apartment Tax Credit Leasing Consultant specializes in the marketing and leasing of units in properties developed under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, requiring candidates to have knowledge of affordable housing requirements and possess strong sales, customer service, and organizational skills. Responsibilities include guiding potential residents through the application process, ensuring move-in readiness, collecting rent, marketing the property, and managing lease renewals. This role typically requires experience in property management or leasing and may involve mandatory tax credit certification training.
Resolve leasing complaints from residents
Execute leasing activities for assigned properties
Assist in the leasing activities and resident relations
Understand and qualify all prospective residents and maintains all resident leasing files
Attend leasing conventions and other industry events
Distribute communications from the leasing office to residents or organize resident activities
Perform leasing, marketing, customer service and administrative duties
Complete all leasing paperwork associated with leasing activity, including rental applications, rental and employment verification
Maintain professional appearance of self and leasing office
Establish and maintain existing relationships with leasing and internal customers
