PURCHASING AGENT - FULL TIME

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to lead our procurement operations while providing additional support in office management and bookkeeping functions.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Type: Full-time position

Salary: Competitive based on experience $24.00 - $26.00 per hour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience

Strong vendor management and negotiation skills

QuickBooks and Fishbowl knowledge helpful for bookkeeping and inventory management support

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong computer literacy and analytical skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively

Professional demeanor with strong vendor relations skills

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purchasing & Procurement:

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors

Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery

Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships

Research market trends and pricing for cost optimization

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders

Ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies

Maintain purchasing records and vendor files

Bookkeeping Support:

Assist with accounts payable processing

Enter and track purchase invoices in QuickBooks

Manage inventory data in Fishbowl system

Help with invoice reconciliation and vendor payments

Support month-end closing procedures related to purchasing

Office Management Support:

Order and maintain office and production supplies

Assist with general administrative duties as needed

Handle vendor communications and correspondence

Support filing and document management systems
