Operations Manager ($70-$75k)

The position of Operations Manager is one that requires a forward-thinking, self-motivated individual with a friendly demeanor and good organizational skills.

The duties of the position will include but not be limited to:

1. Maintain safety policies and training for employees that meet or exceed government regulations. Safety is always your number one priority.

2. Challenge and motivate staff. Maintain positive morale. People are your biggest asset.

3. Work with Division Manager to develop and maintain a quality program that will ensure quality parts are being sold to the marketplace. Work closely with your product suppliers to achieve a program that is sustainable. Create and maintain accurate data base of sales drawings and catalogs.

4. Maintain supply chains and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors that allow for “on time deliveries” to be made to your customers and that are realistic for your vendors to be successful repeatedly. Controlling costs will be an important part of our success.

5. Develop relations with the customer base so that they will want to buy rather than the competition for relational reasons that complement our service and quality model.

6. Develop and maintain habits of good housekeeping and preventative maintenance for equipment, the office, and the yard. A neat, clean, and orderly work environment helps morale.

7. Work with superiors and accounting staff to develop budgets and sales forecasts and report financials as required. Work with AR as necessary to keep accounts healthy and to minimize exposure to non-paying customers.

8. Maximize profits through growth, marketplace evaluations of pricing and through minimizing costs and waste. Provide fair pricing that will enable repeat business.

9. Service your customers through dedicated delivery schedules, effective ordering and effective communication with customers and suppliers.

10. Develop and maintain proper inventory levels that allow us to service the marketplace and keep stock turning frequently.

11. Attend monthly sales and management meetings and other corporate events as required.

12. Work synergistically with the other divisions of the company to promote good health. This will sometimes require give and take that may or may not impact your division directly.

13. Training and growth of your team members .
