We are seeking a bookkeeper to manage all our finances. The finances for our industry differ than most industry accounting. In our industry we buy retail and sell wholesale. Your responsibilities will include tracking our organization’s revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as producing financial reports. You will also be responsible for auditing our books to ensure our records are correct. If interested please reply with your resume.
Responsibilities
Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
Prepare reports for customers monthly summarizing all activity for the previous month
Reconcile company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
Prepare tax returns for businesses
Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
Study financial trends to determine future business needs
Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements
Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
Attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
Recycling industry experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and able to prioritize
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Self-starter
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of previous bookkeeping experience.
Draft monthly financial reports and deliver them to management for review.
Excellent accounting and data entry skills
