Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Huntington Beach, CA .Boeing Huntington Beach consists of over 500 employees across numerous job disciplines who specialize in design, development, assembly, and test of Uncrewed Maritime Platforms, Mission Payloads, Acoustics, and Electronics. With over one million factory square footage, the site is looking forward to future development and manufacturing growth and is seeking a highly qualified First Line Manager to lead our teams in addition to joining the site’s Leadership Team. This is a unique opportunity to join a high performing business unit within BDS Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems Division.As a member of the Leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop Manufacturing Teams. Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Shift:This position is for 1st shift, Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime depending on business needs.Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Re quired Skills / Experience):
5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.
1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
1+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading team
1+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
