Associate Chemist

OverviewElement has an opportunity for an Associate Chemist for testing, sample preparation and collection of samples and preparation of test reports.Responsibilities Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of inorganic metals by spectroscopy analysis per SOP and reportingresults in LIMS Preparing of samples, standard solution, and ensure standardization of the solution. Ensures lab safety and proper protective equipment (PPE) usage Handling, disposing, and storage of all chemicals as per the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Manage calibration of glass wares and general maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment Interaction with clients during witnessed testing (including audits) and answering customer queries Coordinating with team members to complete work in a high-volume production environment Ensuring compliance to all Element Material Technology quality standards Assist in other activities from time to time that may be requested by the department manager/supervisor achieveElement Material Technology annual targets and budgetSkills / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field with at least 1 year experience in similar role Knowledge using ICP-OES and GFAA instrumentations Ability to work with team under pressure and flexible to work extended hours when necessary Strong attention to details, work ethic, and positive attitude Good English communication skills: reading, writing, speaking Good problem solving and math skills Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in a chemistry laboratoryenvironmentCompany OverviewElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
