NCCBB has an immediate opening for the position of Quality Assurance Specialist II
Under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance, the Quality Specialist will assist with implementing, maintaining and monitoring of Quality Assurance program elements in all areas of blood bank operations, ensuring full compliance with all regulation and standard-setting agencies.
Pay range $20-$26. This posting starting at $21.00 per hour.
Duties include:
Perform new employee training for selected interdepartmental and quality related SOPs.
Ensure that staff training in new and modified procedures/policies is documented and reviewed. Identify and report outstanding training gaps.
Ensure that annual and semi-annual competency is adequate and completed in a timely manner.
Maintain training and competency documentation.
Report, track, and analyze deviations, non-conformances, and adverse events.
Perform audits of blood bank specific processes at defined intervals.
Organize and manage controlled documents and records
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current and changing regulations, and help to ensure that regulations and standards are satisfied.
Help coordinate organizational response to changes as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge and abilities:
A. Naturally communicates clearly and professionally using verbal and written English.
B. Exhibits a basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience with Crystal Reports and/or Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite preferred.
C. Demonstrate an above average ability to analyze and interpret and present data.
D. Consistently demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
