We are hiring for the following position: Cashier at our Valley West, Arcata, California Location!
Position Title: Cashier Wage range: $16-$20 per hour.
Our Arcata store was completely rebuilt in 2022, adding a full hardware store to our already thriving ranch and livestock supply business. We work closely with our local home DIY community, contractors, home gardeners, ranchers and 4H/FFA families.
Job Overview/Summary:
Cashier(s) are responsible for providing outstanding customer service while accurately checking out customers.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
●Collect cash, checks and/or credit card payments from customers
●Deal with returns and refunds as necessary
●Help with other tasks as needed including managing shelves, tracking inventory, and keeping the store clean
Knowledge, Skills, or Experience:
● Must demonstrate a friendly and courteous attitude
● 3-6 months experience handling money and working with a cashier
● Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide easily and quickly
