Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: Must possess a valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in school social work, psychology or school counseling. Two (2) years of experience with multi-disciplinary teams focused on youth and families. Preferred Experience: History of successful direct learning support experience with at-risk youth. Experience in supporting the implementation of complex programs. Experience in supporting mental health programs. A history of successful collaborative experience, including child welfare, mental health and probation services. At this stage, unofficial transcripts are acceptable. If offered the position official transcripts will be required for placement.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of, and in cooperation with, the Court and Community School (CCS) Principal and the Humboldt County Office of Education’s (HCOE) Director of Foster and Homeless Youth (FHY) Education Services, the Social Worker for Court and Community Schools (SWCCS) will provide leadership and coordination for case management and support services for CCS students experiencing homelessness and/or students in the foster care system.
