The Breast and GYN Health Project (BGHP) is seeking someone who is committed to ensuring everyone has access to a seamless network of care when facing a breast or gynecologic cancer concern. BGHP is a 100% local nonprofit cancer resource center that has served the community for 27 years. The Cancer Patient Navigator will join a strong team of experienced staff and volunteers to assist local people as they face a breast or gynecologic cancer or cancer concern. The person in this role will also staff community health education events which can be on the weekends or evenings. This is a 37.5 hour per week benefited position. This is an in-person position and BGHP's office in Arcata, CA. $21/hr initial training wage
Ideal candidates will have experience with medical patient navigation, or patient navigation from a cancer patient perspective, and/or medical case management or care coordination experience. Nursing, social work, or health education background helpful, but not required. Having a driver's license and reliable transportation is a job requirement. Please email cover letter and resume.
