Full job description
Act as an advocate for tourism in your region. Identify fun things to do, interesting places to go, and amazing things to see throughout Humboldt and Mendocino.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Management, Sales, and Customer Relations
Collaborate with digital marketing, sales support, admin, production, and circulation teams to ensure the successful execution of account strategies.
Communicate client feedback and requirements to internal stakeholders.
Editorial and Creative Content Management
Identify story and content opportunities that showcase the region's attributes.
Collaborate with external stakeholders and regional entities(Chambers of Commerce, Destination Marketing Organizations) to identify areas of focus.
Write story copy for print, Web, and social media
Take photographs to be used in support of stories.
Provide direction to production staff (including production and digital team) on story requirements and recommendations
Qualifications:
2 YEARS Experience with sales, business development, and client relations
Advertising or Marketing Sales Experience a PLUS
Skilled in remote work, utilizing video conference tools, CRM tools, Email, shared documents and drives (Google Suite, MS Office Suite, Adobe products)
Working Conditions:
Significant travel and overnight travel within the assigned region(s) as needed for in-person meetings, presentations, and relationship-building.
Emailing and Calling existing clients for advertising renewals
Compensation:
Hourly + Commission
$23-28 per hour, unlimited commission.
Average deal size is $1500, commission rate tiered from 10% up to 23%
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $3,700.00 - $6,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
