Nate’s Place by Humboldt Friends needs some Arcata locals to host small, chill get-togethers, small house parties, poetry and creative writing nights, comedy, drawing, etc. Bring people together to discuss things like philosophy, spirituality, advocacy, etc.
About:
Humboldt Friends is an inclusive project for cultivating friendships and discussion in Humboldt County, with periodicals and community outreach planned for the near future. We’re looking for a team member to work one-on-one with the founder of Humboldt Friends to foster inclusivity in our local community.
If you have no car, employment or housing difficulties, or just need something to get you back on your feet and you think you'd be a good fit, we have one or two six-hour (3PM-9PM) shifts per week open for you.
Requirements:
Is an Arcata resident.
Must be flexible, patient, cooperative, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Can introduce and discuss various topics of personal and general interest as well as plan events and social gatherings for individuals with like-minded interests.
Must be able to complete a LiveScan FBI+DOJ background check (approximately $80), which can be done at the Arcata Police Department or the Cal Poly Humboldt Police Department.
Job Details:
The position pays $30/hr and the job site is located a few blocks from Cal Poly Humboldt.
Position is 1-2 shifts per week, 3PM-9PM.
There is a 30-day trial period from your first date of employment.
This is part of a program that’s federally funded. Substances such as marijuana are not permitted, but small quantities of alcohol may be allowed during select social gatherings.
