Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of teaching and/or relevant work experience in special education. Increasingly responsible administrative/coordination experience working with educational programs and services. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in school psychology, school counseling, or school social work or valid California credential in the area of Special Education. California licensure as an MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or Licensed Psychologist is highly desirable. Valid Administrative Services Credential Preferred, meet the criteria to obtain one, or other appropriate certification as determined by the SELPA and HR Department. Valid California driver’s license. At this stage, unofficial transcripts are acceptable. If offered the position, official transcripts will be required for placement.
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the SELPA Director, the SELPA Program Director is responsible for a variety of different SELPA programs and responsibilities including planning, implementation, monitoring of services, budgets, and staff.
