We are a healthcare provider looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper to start immediately. The right candidate should be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and have a great attitude. We are a small team and we need people who have the drive to help us succeed and grow. This is a FAST paced industry and self direction is critical. We need someone who can "hit the ground running".

TASKS:
Accounts Payable
Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Match invoices to receiving and PO.
Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
Assist the Accounting Department and other office personnel as needed.
Must be willing to work with suppliers in order to solve any discrepancies with invoices.
Follow-up with returns to ensure we receive proper credit.
Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
Payroll Processing
Processing for 45 employees.
Payroll data entry of timecards and payroll related data.
Manual paycheck postings.
Garnishment processing.
Preparation and payment of tax liabilities.
Quarterly payroll tax returns.
General Accounting & Tasks
Assists in monthly closings.
Performs filing and copying.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Project specific tasks i.e. research, spreadsheets, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years QuickBooks (MUST) you will be expected to perform a basic QuickBooks test during the interview.
AA in Business Administration or similar degree program.
Experience with the tasks outlined.
Common sense and good problem solving skills.
Works efficiently and with great attention to detail.
Works well independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated & reliable.
Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
