Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for our chefs to create delicious dishes. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.

Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning food accurately.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage.

Adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards at all times.

Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.

Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, and food processors.

Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.

Participate in training sessions to improve cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Requirements

Ability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 2 pm - 10 pm.

Must have valid, unexpired ServSafe certificate.

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing menus or dietary requirements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
