Previous experience working and cooking in a commercial kitchen required

Reliable and available Sundays, and afternoons and evenings Wednesday to Saturday

Strong organizational skills

Firm understanding of food safety and sanitation

Close attention to detail

Visceral need to create and work in a meticulously clean environment

Some of the tasks you will execute with grace and aplomb are:

Completing the prep list from the sous chef

Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves

Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats

Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients

Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with the sous and management to order resupply

Operate cutting tools quickly and safely

Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations

Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks

Plating prepared foods based on sous chef’s guidance

Working with bartenders/servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
