Best Western Arcata Inn is a friendly and well-maintained hotel in Arcata, CA, known for delivering excellent guest service and comfort. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep the property in top working order for both guests and staff.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. This role ensures that all equipment, systems, and guest areas are in proper working condition to support a clean, safe, and functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds.
Troubleshoot and fix minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues.
Respond promptly to guest service requests regarding maintenance concerns.
Inspect and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Monitor and replace light bulbs and batteries as needed.
Ensure the pool, hot tub, and related equipment are clean and compliant with safety standards.
Keep maintenance logs and report major repair needs to management.
Follow all hotel safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
✅ Requirements
Prior hotel or facility maintenance experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have strong communication skills.
Availability to work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays.
