We have a Food Service Manager position open with our Nutrition & Activities program, working at our Eureka site. Qualified candidates will have at least one (1) of the following:
A two (2) or four (4) year degree in institutional food service management or closely related field (e.g. restaurant management, food service management, business administration, or personnel management) and two (2) year of experience as a food service manager. Completion of at least twenty (20) hours of college-level coursework related to food service management, business administration or personnel management and two (2) years of experience in food service management, preferably in an institutional food production setting. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and three (3) years of experience in food service management, including institutional food production. Successful completion of additional college-level coursework may be required upon hire. Experience preferred in managing multiple kitchen locations, large batch cooking, or catering production. Evidence of administrative ability and experience in supervisory responsibilities and culinary experience in a food service operation. Experience in program development desirable. Valid California Driver’s License and personal auto liability insurance required. Must have a personal vehicle in good driving/operating condition and insured for State minimum liability requirements that can be used for the applicable job functions. Current CPR and First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire. Must have current ServSafe or National Registry of Food Safety Professionals Food Service Manager certification.
This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
