Position Overview:
The K–8 Principal serves as the spiritual and academic leader of a Christ-centered educational community. The Principal is responsible for fostering a nurturing, biblically-based environment where students grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. This role requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about Christian education, committed to excellence, and called to serve families and staff in a mission-driven school.
Key Responsibilities:
-Model a vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
-Promote and integrate biblical principles throughout the school’s curriculum, policies, and culture.
-Provide spiritual support and guidance to students, staff, and families.
-Lead staff devotionals, prayer, and spiritual development opportunities.
-Ensure alignment of curriculum with academic standards and Christian worldview.
-Promote excellence in teaching and student achievement through ongoing assessment and improvement.
-Support differentiated instruction and inclusive practices to meet diverse student needs.
-Supervise lesson development, classroom instruction, and academic programming.
-Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentoring and support for professional growth.
-Cultivate a positive, collaborative staff culture grounded in mutual respect and servant leadership.
-Foster a safe, respectful, and spiritually nurturing environment for all students.
-Oversee discipline policies and behavior management rooted in grace and accountability.
-Partner with staff and parents to support student growth, mental health, and character development.
-Communicate consistently and transparently with families about school matters.
-Build strong relationships with parents through involvement, communication, and shared mission.
-Represent the school within the local church community and at outreach events.
-Oversee and lead daily operations
-Ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards (ACSI, Cognia, etc., as applicable).
-Collaborate on budgeting, school improvement planning, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
-A personal and active faith in Jesus Christ, evident in life and leadership
-Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
-Teaching Credential
-Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a Christian school or equivalent, with leadership experience
-Knowledge of Christian curriculum and biblically integrated instruction
-Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to lead with humility, wisdom, and Christ-like character
-Familiarity with ACSI or other Christian school accreditation processes is a plus
Preferred Attributes:
