Sr. Accountant

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Hayward, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations in the construction/manufacturing industry. This includes everything from billing and inventory accounting to coordinating with the tax division and maintaining company insurance renewals. Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Prepare and submit weekly customer billings Follow up with customers with overdue payments (over 45 days old) Approve invoices for payment Reconcile all bank statements and monthly financial reports Stay updated on the company bank balance and be aware of outstanding checks Review and approve documentation attached to checks for accuracy Prepare and analyze job lot cost analysis monthly Prepare and submit payroll Generate weekly reports on reconciled cash bank position, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Coordinate with the company's tax division and prepare any required schedules for tax returns Maintain the renewals on company insurance Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Support month-end and year-end close process Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Ensure all financial statements and tables are correct and precise.Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordRequirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise is essential. Extensive experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is necessary. Must possess strong skills in working with general ledger and journal entries. Ability to handle month-end close tasks effectively and efficiently.
