Description We're actively looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and motivated Senior Accountant to join a noteworthy non-profit organization in the Hayward, CA area.The primary focus of the Senior Accountant will be to manage financial statements, account reconciliation and analysis, audit practices, and internal controls. This position is a temporary-to-hire role, providing the opportunity to transition to full-time employment based on performance and company needs. Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Manage general ledger
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes
Participate in financial auditing
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is a plus
3+ years' experience in accounting or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel
Strong understanding of accounting theory and GAAP
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Self-starter with exceptional analytical abilities
