Job Details

SUMMARY:As the Senior Hardware engineer you will be a key player in designing and developing hardware for our products. You will work closely with R&D, production, and customer service teams. You will utilize your Hardware and Frimware Development skills in the creation of Scientific instruments!

MUST HAVES:

Embedded C or C Programming for Firmware
OrCAD for Board Layout/schematic drawing
Hardware test skills with Oscilloscopes/logic analyzers, and soldering for prototyping

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

Design and develop sensor / control boards for research and production.
Design circuit boards with Microcontrollers, Sensors, Power devices (LDO, Switchers), OP Amps, ADC/DAC, Filters
Build, test, and modify prototypes and products
Manage and Outsource PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly
Conduct EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) / Safety testing
Build test circuits and programs to facilitate sensor/system calibration and production

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.
3+ Years of Product Development Experience.
Experience with circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Hands-on experience and expertise in Data Acquisition, Data processing, Temperature control, Motor/actuator control, and various H/W interface (USB, RS232, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee).
Experience programming for Firmware with C or C
Experience with ORCAD or Similar tool
Experience with Electronic Test Equipment and Soldering
EMC experience preferred
