Job Description
Systems Engineer Software Systems Los Angeles, CA 6+ month contract to hire DOE Immediate hire. Works as part of an integrated product team under the direction of the Systems Engineering Manager and in unison with Program Management. Drives decisions and makes major contributes to system and software architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, designs, and CONOPS. Prepare and present system requirements, designs, and architectures during internal and external meetings & reviews. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Provide effective engineering support during the conceptual design, detailed design, integration, and deployment phases of the product life-cycle. Drives continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of design, configuration management, and product quality. May support multiple programs/products simultaneously. Documentation of Systems designs and Software designs using company records retention procedures Required Skills:- BS, MS, PhD in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering
- 3 to 7 years of experience in the field of Systems Engineering of Software Intensive Systems. Education can be used in lieu of experience
- Record of success with increasing complexity, scope, and leadership of previous experience
- Experience in writing System Functional requirements, and Concept of Operations using model-based systems engineering methods (sysml)
- Experience with troubleshooting cyber-physical systems which combine sensing, computation, and control to the physical world
