Join a reputable financial firm as a seasonal Tax Preparer.
At the core, prepare individual income tax returns using Lacerte during the tax season.
Responsibilities:
Prepare & review individual federal, state, and local income tax returns using Lacerte tax software.
Conduct initial client interviews to understand individual tax situations thoroughly.
Provide expert advice to clients on tax preparation, laws, and regulations.
Guarantee confidentiality and security of all client information.
Stay updated with tax law changes and updates through thorough research.
Effectively respond to regulatory notices and assist clients with tax audits.
Communicate clearly about tax preparation progress with both clients and the management team.
Maintain positive relationships with clients through outstanding customer service.
Requirements
Qualifications:
2 years’ experience minimum in individual tax preparation, specifically using Lacerte tax software.
Strong understanding of tax codes, laws, and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent time management skills for meeting tight deadlines.
Strong customer service skills and ability to simplify complex tax information.
Independent yet team-oriented work habits.
This position demands commitment during the tax season. You must manage responsibilities and communication effectively while providing top-notch service to clients.
