With 787 employees 101 active medical staff and 21 Emergency Department beds Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital continually implements and upgrades its technology and recruits employees who understand the vital importance of kindness and compassion in the healing process.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for contributing to the health of our community by providing quality services in a compassionate and cost-effective manner. Provides direction and leadership to the Diagnostic Imaging Office Staff. Responsible for the efficient operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Clerical areas including the inpatient and outpatient offices, the file room and satellite offices. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Radiology Information System, Picture Archiving and Communications System and the Voice Recognition Dictation System.

Develops and maintains Clerical, PACS, digital equipment and staffing policy and procedure manuals that meet regulatory standards and monitors performance of the quality of the work performed

Preparation and submission of CQI and QA reports

Current knowledge of medical terminology, medical office management, and record systems

Proficiency in the use of a computer including hospital information systems

Knowledge of quality improvement procedures, principles and tools

QualificationsRequired:

A minimum of 3 years experience in a radiology setting

BLS:CPR Certification

RTR Certification (Registered Technologist Radiology)

MRAD:CA

Preferred:

Bachelors degree in related field preferred

Skills:Strong interpersonal skills including teaching, coaching and mentoring skills. Independent problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making abilities. Knowledge of JCAHO, State and Federal regulations. Ability to remain calm under stress and work in an environment of frequent interruptions. Current knowledge of medical terminology, medical office management, and record systems. Proficiency in the use of a computer including hospital information systems.
