Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Registration Specialist to join our Client in the Grass Valley area. The Patient Registration Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients by accurately collecting and inputting their information, verifying insurance coverage, and providing outstanding customer service.Responsibilities:

Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the facility.

Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into the electronic health records system.

Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals as needed.

Explain financial responsibilities, including copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses, to patients.

Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.

Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as necessary.

Respond to patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and courteously.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent customer service.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous experience in healthcare administration or patient registration preferred.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus.
