The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager with the daily activities associated with healthcare construction projects. This position consists of preparing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation. Knowledge of submittals, RFIs, change orders, subcontracts, project bidding, project close-out, and other project-related processes and documents is key. The Project Management Assistant will also work heavily within our Construction Management software, and will need to possess skills in MS Office applications, PDF software, and other common computer applications and software. The Project Management Assistant will also act as a company representative when dealing with Clients, Subcontractors, Architects, and other project stakeholders. This position requires a person with a team mentality, attention to detail, and who is able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for aiding in the organization of highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Company projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Create and maintain all jobs folders and files
Develop full use and understandings of our Project Management software
Maintain all project logs
Understand, develop, and distribute RFI’s
Understand, develop, and distribute Submittals
Assist the Project Manager with meeting preparation
Takes notes for meetings; create and distribute meeting minutes
Support Project Manager with bidding/estimating activities
Support Project Manager with schedule development
Support Project Manager with subcontracting and pay request activities
Compile close out documents, including:
Redline Drawings
Warranty Letters
O/M’s
Owner close out package
Develop relationships with Clients, Subcontractors and Architects
Assist in the development of company programs and procedures
Ensure company procedures are being maintained
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
Prior project management experience is a plus
Pleasant and confident demeanor when dealing with colleagues and clients
Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English
Efficient and well organized
Proficiency with calendar systems
Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
