Supervised Visitation Monitor Position Available
Nexus Youth & Family Services is a human services organization operating in Amador County. The mission of Nexus is to serve members of the community through innovative programs, collaborative partnerships, and the provision of educational and therapeutic services. Examples of Nexus programs include Youth Programs, Family Resource Centers, Parenting Classes, Home Visiting, and Therapeutic Counseling Services for children and their parents.
The Supervised Visitation Monitor supervises visits between a child or children and their non-custodial parent. In most cases, these visits are the result of a court order that requires a neutral party to be present. The job duties include monitoring the interaction between the parent and child and documenting the date, time and visitation participants. Limited interaction with families is required. Depending on the situation, emotional support is given to the child or in rare circumstances intervention is required (separation of the child from the parent) if/when the child’s emotional, mental, or physical safety is at risk.
