Product Maker Position:
Fat and the Moon is a growing small business making herbal body care products in Grass Valley, CA. Prior cooking, baking, and/or herbal medicine-making skills are required for this position.
Description:
● Making herbal body care products to the specification and quality of Fat and the Moon. This includes making tinctures, infused oils, hydrosols, cosmetics, processing plant materials and any other activity necessary to the manufacturing of Fat and the Moon products, current and future.
● Professionalism and respect of the work environment and co-workers. Good communication is paramount to the social and professional wellbeing of the environment. Working within Good Manufacturing Processes and using safety equipment provided by the company.
● Working with all levels of equipment for the manufacturing of body care products. Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Along with the skills mentioned above, Fat and the Moon is looking for people who are dependable, precise, have good communication skills, and who work well as part of a team and maintain a clean work environment.This position will be full-time once training is completed. Training will take place between 2-4 weeks time. The full-time role would be 5 days per week. Hours are flexible and shifts range between 8am-4pm, 9-5pm, 10-6pm. Qualifications:
Previous experience as a production worker or similar role in a warehouse or bakery
Good understanding of how production equipment works and ability to detect potential problems with machinery
Good communication and teamwork skills
Being a self-starter with keen attention to detail and a positive attitude
Responsibilities:
Keeping workspaces clean, and well organized
Assist in keeping track of inventory and quality control
Making herbal body care products to the specification and quality standards of Fat & the Moon
Professionalism and respect of the work environment and co-workers
Communication with other departments via Slack
Ideal Start Date: 1st week of June, or sooner.
Days per week/Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
