New local tree reforestation and restoritive plant nursery in Nevada City is seeking 2-3 people to join our small team. There are opportunities for a Nursery Manager and two Nursery Assistants.
Nursery Assistant
1-3 days per week
Compensation based on experience $20- $23/hr
Must be able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Potting
Seed Stratification
Building Soil
Keeping up with Plant Success Logs
Loading/Unloading materials
Occasional Markets for sales
Light Construction Tasks
Nursery Manager
1- 3 days per week
Compensation based on experience $26 - $30/hr
Looking for a self- starter with experience in nurseries and some knowledge of tree propagation.
Also looking for experience in:
Training and managing assistants
Troubleshooting any future irrigation issues
Greenhouse construction
Pest control
Knowledge specific to regional tree growth.
Seeking people with an eye for detail that will be friendly and professional. Must be able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly. Must also have reliable transportation and safe work clothes.
