Mountain Valley Child and Family Services (MVCFS) provides individualized treatment for troubled youth and teens, ages 10-21 in residential treatment in Nevada City and Sacramento, and TBS services throughout the Bay area.
Our 900-acre ranch outside NEVADA CITY, CA provides a therapeutic setting where we facilitate individual and group activities to support the goals of our residential program. The ranch is an ideal environment for troubled youth to learn about themselves and deal with their behavioral and emotional challenges by exploring new interests such as tending gardens, and caring for animals.
Qualifications:
1. General education of at least high school level and basic training in landscaping
2. Have general experience in labor and maintenance repairs.
Abilities:
1. Ability to perform under the direction of the Assistant Chief Maintenance Worker in a satisfactory manner.
2. Knowledge and understanding of special needs of the clients of MVCFS.
3. Interest and ability to perform quality work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for accomplishing tasks assigned in maintaining the physical condition of the equipment and grounds.
2. Conducting basic maintenance of the grounds and landscaping under the direction of the Operations Director.
3. Recommends landscaping needs and all necessary materials.
4. Responsible for maintaining gardening tools in constant working conditions.
5. Other duties as assigned which may include, painting, basic home repairs, etc.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, eight-hours per day.
