Responsibilities:
The Academy Teacher typically provides differential instruction to students with a primary disability of Emotional Disturbance and Autism. Instruction is individual and in small groups of 6-9 students. The Teacher facilitates instructional activities coordinating with Residential and Therapy staff members. Teachers ensure that each student makes appropriate progress on IEP goals, and that accommodations and modifications are implemented. Teachers also establish procedures that result in a consistency safe and nurturing environment for students and staff.
