The Revenue Services Division is looking to fill one Collection Agent - I vacancy located in Roseville, CA!
This job involves collecting on delinquent accounts through various means such as phone calls, interviews, and correspondence, while maintaining detailed case records. The role requires working closely with supervisors and legal departments to support or initiate legal actions when necessary. Employees must explain policies, payment options, and account details to clients, determine eligibility for programs or waivers, and negotiate payment schedules. Additional tasks include locating clients using external databases, processing financial documents, accepting payments, and maintaining accurate reports and statistics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience and Training
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: One year of responsible collections or accounts receivable experience.
Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Required License or Certificate:
May need to possess a valid driver's license as required by the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
