This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Glendale, California area.Responsibilities
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Ad-hoc projects as required
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Requirements - Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
Experience with month end closings
Solid understanding of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central
Microsoft Excel experience
General familiarity with year end closings
Proven knowledge of business planning and control
Well-founded grasp of Accrual Accounting
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
